Rules and Terms of the Challenge

    This website contains general information about Capital Markets and Securities Authority , its functions and services with respect to Capital Markets in Tanzania.These are terms of use for this website. Your continued use of this site confirms your acceptance of these terms.

    In order to ensure there is impartiality in the challenge, the winners of the competition will be subjected to the following rules:

    • 1. Eligibility

      Open to all universities and higher learning institutions in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Participants must not be employees or relatives of Board Members and employees of Capital Markets Authority, the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, or CMSA-Licensed Intermediaries.

    • 2. Registration

      Participation for the Quiz Competition must be via a registered Tanzanian mobile phone. Participants must register for the competition using said mobile phone.

    • 3. Timeline

      The Competition will run within specified dates. Entries will only be accepted within the specified period and format.

    • 4. Disqualification

      CMSA reserves the right to disqualify participants or withdraw prizes for tampering with the process, including canvasing or submitting entries not in accordance with competition terms.

    • 5. Finalist Selection

      The top 20 winners from each category will undergo an oral interview with a panel of judges to verify their student status and capabilities.

    • 6. Final Judging

      Final winners will be determined through transparent oral interviews conducted by independent judges with live television coverage.

    • 7. Prize Awards

      Award announcements and distributions will be conducted live.

    • 8. Investment Requirement

      The top 80 winners must invest at least 33% of their prize money into a portfolio of investments in the capital markets.
